Power & Hard drive LEDs
Replaced the Power and Hard drive LEDs with the funky High brightness blue LEDs.
What was used:
2 x 3mm HIGH BRIGHT 700mcd ROUND BLUE LED
Around $4.00
JayCar (1000 mcd) ZD-1751
& existing wiring.
How:
First unplugged the LED connectors from the motherboard (keeping note of what wire is positive and negative). Next I removed the original LEDs and soldered the new LEDs on to the old wires. The LEDs I brought were 3mm the original LEDs were 5mm so I needed to wrap some electrical tape around the base of the LEDs make it sit in place.
