Spray painting an old 486 case

The old Case, has a 486 currently inside. What the..? why this case, mainly for practice. Might turn it into an amp case + power supply one day.

Here is the computer naked, no plastic!, Its a good look if you are after that raw industrial look.

Getting ready, the case cover has been taken off and sanded back, using different grades of sandpaper.

First coat of paint, looks like shit, did this on a rainy day. Not sure if that was a good idea or not? but it was a first coat and I think it is meant to look like shit.

Second (and third) coats, now it looks nice, seems to be a lot more glossy on the panels and drive covers then the main computer front panel.

Sprayed the cover with a "Matt Black" non glossy paint, looks cool, altough it did leave a lot of paint dirt, little bits of paint that I had to wipe off with a cloth?

The front panel is put back into place, the counter thing has stuffed up but who cares, it looks like it is faster now, looks cool. I did not spray it with a protective clear coating though.

There it is in all its glory, I only did one coat of paint for the "Black" outer part, it looks ok not the best but it was just a practice case.
